If I can’t love my own children as I want to, who can I love?
My best attempts are bones with no flesh.
“He asked me, ‘Son of man, can these bones live?’ I said, ‘Sovereign Lord, you alone know.’” (Ezekiel 37:3)
Lord, my heart is open to your healing work. By your life-giving Spirit, resurrect my capacity to love.
“Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.” (Ezekiel 37:9)
“He breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’” (Jn. 20:22)
I am doing a work in you. See all that I’ve already done? Do not fear. Come to me and I will make all things new.
