About Me

Elizabeth is a painter based in Charlotte, NC. She took up painting as a regular practice in 2019, initially focusing on florals and landscapes. She found painting to be both a source of joy and a way to serve others.

In 2023, after personal loss, Elizabeth found great comfort in scriptural music created by contemporary artists. This inspired her to begin exploring spiritual themes in her own work. She’s currently seeking out what biblical stories and teachings reveal to us about what God is like, embodying the sacred and unseen within the American landscape.

Her process centers around playing with color and stroke. After studying a theme of interest and sketching various versions, the painting happens relatively fast – wet on wet paint. Her husband often speaks into her work and their three little boys have all been studio buddies.

Elizabeth is a self-taught painter with a degree in biblical studies. Her work has been exhibited by Shain Gallery in Charlotte, NC. And her landscapes and florals have been displayed on both HGTV and Magnolia Network, and published in Christianity Today’s Easter devotional.

A Little History

I’m originally from Argentina and I moved to the States with my family when I was eleven. So, I’m a first generation immigrant. I speak Spanish and show a slight accent when I say yesterday

I’ve been painting and creating for as long as I can remember. But it was during my years in college, studying the humanities, that I came to see the value of art and decided to develop my interest painting.

I’ve learned to paint by making mistakes. I’ve also spent many hours studying the works of others. So, in a way, other artists are my teachers.

I’ve been painting for others since 2019, right after my second son was born. I set aside a few quiet hours during my babies’ nap-time to paint each day – and love every minute.

I’m thankful for the journey that’s brought me to this wonderful vocation, and look forward to what’s to come. Thanks for coming along!
